Angelique Nagovskaya (b. 1998, Montreal, CA) is a Canadian-American artist currently based in London. She graduated with a BFA in Fine Art and a BA in Art History from Cornell University prior to pursuing an MA at the Royal College of Art.
By incorporating elements of spirituality and mysticism in painting, Angelique’s work finds influence in religious, philosophical and psychological traditions to explore the nature of existence and consciousness. In this way, her art can be seen as a form of resistance against cultural narratives and celebrates alternative ways of being.
